Import-exportech alongside creativity, design and fashion
The Salone del Mobile 2024 (and the vast network of the Fuorisalone, a loved-hated event that involves the entire city of Milan) allows you to visualize the entity, quality and liveliness of the players active in the increasingly interconnected sectors of Design, Fashion, Luxury, Digital Innovation.
Quantifying exactly the volume of business connected to this specific event – but, above all, to the creative sector, the true icon of “Made in Italy”) is complex, precisely in light of the strong “hybridization” underway: very often, a Design object can be classified in different sectors (a piece of furniture, a jewel, a tool, a piece of furniture). It’s right, therefore, to talk about a 60 billion supply chain for example for Italian wood-furniture companies, but – most likely – the overall values are even higher, especially if we consider the very strong interrelations and overlaps with areas adjacent to Design and Furniture in the strict sense, such as those of Fashion, or Luxury.
It’s a sector characterized by an incredible liveliness and a very strong propensity to export: a sector that, among other things, sees an increasingly high percentage of online sales to foreign customers; let’s remember that B2B digital exports in Italy are growing towards the threshold of 200 billion euros/year.
However, it’s precisely this context characterized by many micro-operators that very often sees a level of preparation for exports that is still limited: the analysis and management of the multiple risks typical of international trade (such as country risk, socio-political risk, credit risk, exchange rate risk, logistical complexities) is often completely ignored or in any case underestimated.
As experts in international credit management and foreign debt collection, we very often encounter commercial relationships that are not governed by adequate contractual structures, by correct preliminary analyses on the reliability of the counterparty: the international debt collection activities that we promote (in the most disparate areas: from Canada to the United Arab Emirates, from Mexico to Germany) are often made more complex by the lack of prior assessments of a financial and legal.
In the face of this objective need for operational support (and knowledge sharing), we believe that the “import-exportech” project launched in 2023 in Milan, in the context of Mind Federated Innovation, is the right approach to promote a more solid approach to exporting and expanding on the global market: a set of digital tools and processes that allows the analysis of the counterparty’s financial situation, set up effective credit risk management, take advantage of the largest marketplace, manage international payments and – this is the role of Invenium Legaltech – recover receivables abroad through a highly innovative legal tech platform.
